The Cadillac Provoq fuel cell concept combines the new fifth generation fuel cell system and a lithium-ion battery to produce electric power required. Provoq does not rely on the petroleum and has no emission other than water. The concept Provoq has a top speed of 100mph (160 km / h) and can drive 300 miles (483 km) on a single fill of hydrogen - with 280 miles (450 km) from hydrogen and 20 miles (32 km) on pure, battery electric energy. The sprint from 0-60 mph is completed in just 8.5 seconds.

Cadillac showcased its latest production-car design at the Pebble Beach with a world-premiere of CTS sport wagon. The Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon is based on the CTS sport sedan and the CTS coupe concept. The CTS sport wagon is powered by a 3.6L V6 direct injection engine with 304 HP and 26 mpg highway fuel economy. Like the sport sedan, the CTS sport wagon also includes AWD as an option.

General Motors unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show a further glimpse at the potential of electric propulsion, this time in the form of luxury transportation, with the Cadillac Converj Concept. The Cadillac Converj was developed as a well-appointed grand touring coupe with a bold design and a host of interactive technology.

The Converj Concept enables up to 40 miles of gas- and emissions-free electric driving with extended-range capability of hundreds of miles. The Cadillac Converj’s Voltec electric propulsion system is made up of a 16-kWh, T-shaped battery, an electric drive unit, and a four-cylinder engine-generator. It uses electricity as its primary source to drive the car. A thermally managed battery pack contains more than 220 lithium-ion cells. It takes less than three hours to recharge the battery at 240V, or about eight hours from a 120V outlet.

Cadillac has officially taken the wraps off its 2010 CTS Sport Wagon. Created as an alternative to larger utility vehicles, the CTS Sport Wagon promises the same stylish good looks and competent handling as its sedan counterpart, but with the added utility and cargo space of a wagon. It's edgy, smooth, finned (the roof rails) and sleek all in the right proportions. And for the States-siders, the 263 hp V6 will allow the wagon to hold its own off the line. While there's plenty of room in the back, the car itself is quite compact.

Following the special premiere at Pebble Beach, The Cadillac CTS sport Wagon moves into Cadillac dealerships in spring 2009.

Cadillac already offers both hybrid and Platinum variants of the Escalade, but this latest offering combines the 'green' powertrain of the former with the amenities of the latter. Platinum models add a number of distinctive touches both inside and out, including a unique grille, LED headlamps, Aniline leather seating, magnetic ride control, and unique 22-inch aluminum wheels.

The new model will utilize the 6.0-liter V8, just like the ‘lesser’ Escalade Hybrid, paired to General Motor’s 2-Mode hybrid system. Economy figures have not yet been released up to this time, but it is expected to be around 20 mpg city and 21 mpg highway which are the same figures that come with the two-wheel-drive Escalade Hybrid.

Buick Riviera Concept is a sexy car which one would like lay the hands on let alone driving it. Riviera debuted at the Shangai Motor Show in last summer and is being displayed currently at the Detroit Auto Show.

Riviera with the carbon fiber body panels and gull-wing doors sure looks an impressive car to me. Although, the blue interior lights gives some odd feelings and I don't feel it goes well on the interior.

Buick revealed the four-door midsize sedan, Invicta, at the Auto China 2008. Invicta looks as if it's designers may have got the inspiration from the Rivera Concept. Invicta is powered by Buick’s first direct injection turbocharged engine, a four-cylinder powerplant that produces 250 horsepower (186 kW) and 220 lb-ft (298 Nm) of torque. The engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission for maximum Fuel efficiency.

2010 Lacrosse is dominated by a sweeping U-shaped dashboard that flows into the door panels on each side and down from the center stack into a wave-like center console. A large screen for navigation and other readouts sits dead center of the dash, with a phalanx of buttons just below it. High-tech LED lighting in a restful “ice blue” is used for the gauges and most controls, as well as for “ambient” illumination of the console and areas beneath the door armrests.

2010 Buick LaCrosse will get two of GM’s corporate V6 engines, both with the efficiency-enhancing direct-fuel-injection system available for the 3.6-liter engine. The 2010 Buick LaCrosse CX and CXL models will get a 3.0-liter V6 that is estimated to generate 255 horsepower. The 280-horsepower 3.6 is reserved for the top-line CXS model. Both engines will mate to a 6-speed automatic transmission. And thanks to the E2 platform, the 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXL will offer optional all-wheel drive.
